Description
Wind Chimes
The door is vibrating and banging in the cold grey of a windy day
Close my eyes maybe I can dream the reaper is knocking
Feeling drafts of cold air dance across my bare feet
Hearing the invisible howl outside the window and down this tarred cracked street
Today there is no South African heat
Just her bitter cold playing music all they time
In the wind chimes of my altered mind
Put some music on to dull her calls
Led Zeppelin is justified for this predetermined course
In my little vector of obscured sanity
Blasphemous vanity - drugs not wine
Horrific noise of battered
Wind chimes
My mouth is dry like the desert of no mans place or morbid soul
A pit of dry
A dark tasteless hole
Laying on my couch
Sinking into its comforters and man made curves
No birds
Sing today
The wind keeps them at bay
Drifting in a daze with Robert Plant and the Page playing me a touch of heaven
Shows my taste
A hint of my minds age
Old songs
That seem to mend a heart that aches as the wind blows in her biting sorrows
Trying to bait me to the door
No
This couch is where I belong
Emerged under the blanket of song
That pounds and brain lyrical rhymes
Not the horror of beaten wind chimes
Speaks to me in a out worldly way the surreal voice of nature trying to have her say
On this kwa Zulu Natal windy day....
I hear the trains horn blast barely fighting through her menacing growl
Do I have milo on my shelves?
Warmth and liquid for this parched drug induced tongue
Life of a legal addict
Blows my mind
That they allow you to disconnect all the time
Some friends voices have fallen silent since I was born again
A violent hateful apparition of a once humble quite man
I noticed
In case you didn't
And I don't believe in forgiveness for I don't believe in your Christian God
Turn the cheek
So I can strike both sides
In this mind bending state I learnt about real pain
And the door bangs
Should I open it and let the reaper caress my bearded face with his cold nature pushed embrace
Should I release myself this time
To walk like a shadow amongst battered
Wind chimes?
