Description
Taiko Shidare-zakura in Daigoji temple Kyoto. Shidare-zakura means weeping cherry tree.
Ever since Toyotomi Hideyoshi held his extravagant gHanamih (cherry blossom viewing) parties at Daigoji, the temple has been known for its cherry blossoms.
For three weeks starting from the vernal equinox, visitors can enjoy different cherry blossoms, starting from Kawazu-zakura at Kenjinrinen, to Shidare-zakura, Somei-yoshino, Hill Cherry, Yae-zakura, Obeni-shidare at Sanboin and Oyama-zakura next to the Kondo. #cherry #cherryblossom #sakura #trip #landscape #spring #nationaltreasure #kyoto
