Saw this Aurora last night way up North in Finland. Just a 1s exposure on 3200ISO. It was extremely bright and "dancing" and moved across the sky quickly. I hear the "red" in the plumes is rarer. You can look at the exposure of the porch light of the house on the right to see the relative intensity. What a view from the backyard of that house. I was actually standing outside the guardrails off a bridge on a highway, the best vantage point I could find in the -22C cold night. The white "plain" is a frozen lake. Drove 28hours round trip from Helsinki and slept two nights in the car #aurora #northern #lights #finland #lapland #arctic #europe #night #sky #lake #frozen #ivalo #exposure
