“I just wanted to glow before the SunSet dropped...”
My pain withered me to pieces and my peace became unlocked
I grabbed at the shape shifting clouds of my hearts weighty waters
Above this sketchy world and all of it’s fleshly plunders
Abandoned these clods and crossed celestial borders
I knew this prayer needed to reach my Father
So Graceful, grace-filled, grace-willed I humbled myself before Him!
Asked Him to bless me with humility, endurance, strength and sight
He said ‘you know you can’t win this thing without a fight’
Told me His day will arrive “like a thief in the night”
Told me to “stay ready, keep awake and continue to love” like He has always even to ungrateful people!
That he was proud of my efforts and He wasn’t asking me to try to be His equal!
