It is FINALLY CREEK TIME!
Being that is the case, I figured this would be a good time to bring up creek Do's and Don'ts. If you're visiting one of the #creeks in the #
Hudson Valley or beyond, these little reminders will help us all enjoy.
Do bring snacks and drinks.
Don't bring glass...EVER! PEOPLE ARE BARE FOOT! When glass shatters on the rocks it's horrible. It goes further than one might think. You will never find every piece. It's a lot safer to just bring cans or plastic bottles. While at the creek and you find a piece of glass, put it in your garbage bag. (See the next DO.) DO CARRY OUT WHAT YOU BRING IN!
Bring an extra bag with you for your garbage, and take that bag with you when you leave. Unless there is a can where you are. This includes cigarette butts and band aides. Let's keep our creeks as beautiful as possible.
And last but not least... While walking in the creek pay attention to the color of the rocks under the water. If they are brown, you a...
