This piece is very true to it's picture very defined. The cup itself is of fine quality as well. The story behind it was beautiful to read. When I look at it, it will take me back to the first time that I saw and read the story. Glad I took the time to purchase. No regrets!
One of my first epic prairie paintings, following a surprising midsummer flood the Blazing Star was deformed in a permanently bent over position, looking as if the wind was blowing at a consent gail. Note Chicago's namesake in the foreground, Nodding Wild Onion and a 300 year old Bur Oak in the background.
I am from the Midwestern United States and paint the places where native and urban landscapes intersect. I focus on native plants highlighted by manmade structures turned surreal by the passage of time. With a strong background in the classical fine arts I often move towards mixed media, fibers, and collage while always hinting at landscape or figurative subject matter.
