A free range beef cow gazes longingly into our pastures. Our cows were lining the fence to see their long lost cousins from a distant land and it always causes quite the commotion. Every year around this time they descend from the mountains and into our valley. These ones came from over 30 miles away as the crow flies. They often become intermixed with our dairy cows and/or eat our crops.
