Description
Tiffany Ballroom Ceiling at the Kansas City Masonic Lodge.
It was a neat setting last night at the historic Kansas City Masonic Lodge. The building was built between 1909 and 1911. Recently it has been open to the public as a host venue to many events, like last nights, Murder Mystery Company's "Best Laid Plans". It was a fun night, albeit goofy and schticky.
The Tiffany Ballroom was named so for the south facing wall, where about 10 double hung stained glass windows, made by Tiffany & Co. There are a total of 88 stained glass windows all original to the building. Wish it would've been light enough out to have illuminated them. The architectural detail in the building was exquisite. Everything from the ceiling, to the floors, and in between. They just don't make building like this anymore.
