This moment reminded me that sometimes being a good photographer means changing one's focus. Last Sunday at church, we had bagpipes to celebrate Anglican Heritage Day. It was a glorious time, to be sure! Folks were loving it and I was enjoying photographing with my phone. I readied myself to photograph this awesome piper; then I looked down and realized that the real story was in the two hands in front of me. The real story was in these hands, their support of each other in the good and the bad, and their enjoying special moments together.
