Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….
The Dipping Point
In my previous post, I had already mentioned that The Black-winged Stilt (Himantopus himantopus) have a habit of wading into shallows and eat insects and aquatic invertebrates out of water. In simple, they will put their complete head below water and pluck the food out. A tedious activity, but indeed superb to watch.
For the pic, the stilt's head is about to go below water; in fact half of the eye(s) is already below water line. Just that moment, when the stilt had a final look around before going in - dipping point.
The water reflecting the green flora colours above; and the algae layer below.
