42nd Street is always alive, even in the wee hours of the morning. Passengers come and go all day and throughout the night. This city never sleeps.

Grand Central Terminal recently celebrated 100 years of service. It originally was opened in 1871 but was rebuilt in 1913. This photo was taken on the bridge over 42nd street. The roadway is a vehicle only area which splits and drives through an upper level of the building and back down to Park Avenue on the north side of the building. This shot overlooks 42nd street facing east towards Lexington Avenue.
