My very first solo trip and my 2nd day in Istanbul. This was taken at breakfast overlooking the Sea of Marmara with the owner of the hotel. So that I wouldn't get lost, she took me hand in hand and walked me toward the main area in Sultanahmet. Then I waked toward the Grand Bazaar getting lost only once. Inside the Bazaar I was mesmerized, and I was practicing the art of haggling over the most exquisite prints of the Noah's Ark. I never got the Noah's Ark because I got a phone call from the Turkish doctor I sat next to on the plane ride to Istanbul. I went back to my hotel, changed, took a cab and met him for lunch. The rest of the story will be continued someday in another photo, perhaps. All I know is that Istanbul will be the only place I go back to twice on my bucket list. I must get my Noah's Ark...
