This print is beautiful. It's a commonly depicted subject, but it is very special. The composition, tonal quality, and movement are exceptional and evocative. The piece is true to it's title... breathtaking!

I have wanted this for my pro life bulletin board at my Catholic Church and I wasn’t disappointed. It is beautiful and it has so much meaning put in a picture. A picture speaks better then words and this picture says it all. Thanks
Artist's Description
Eurasian collared dove (Streptopelia decaocto)
Though these birds are not migratory, they are highly dispersive in nature. Let me help you understand this. Till 1970, these birds were not even known in North America. Post its introduction in early 70s', and off late, leaving apart the Central America, they are every where there on the continent.
Real white collar guys you know - gets the stuff done. ========== Recently I was lucky to be part of an intense discussion (read storming) on photographing a pale bird against a pale/flat sky. The points that came out from those long chats - - Pale bird against a pale sky is better shot without colours
- Pale bird against a pale sky causes the cameras to have heebie-jeebies
- Since the camera had heebie-jeebies, the focus/sharpness took a toss
- Posting a blurred/out of focus pic in black & white (and also grey) will make it appear sharp or better
And the whole point of discussion was on a bird - collared dove.
