The Board of Trade has lost its dominance of the skyline to much taller buildings, but I don't think it has lost its presence. You cannot cross LaSalle street and not see it. I often see tourists stopping in the middle of the street and staring up at it. Without even knowing what it is, you think it has to be something important; something special. Buildings downtown often blur into each other; but not this one. It always stands out. Of course the fact that it is blocking a major street helps. It is one of the great architectural giants of downtown, and a great building! Well I hope you enjoyed this week's Sunday Feature. Tune in next week.
