Artist's Description
A night time stroll across downtown Tampa, Florida introduced me to this sight. On the left is the historic Tampa Bay Hotel built between 1888 and 1891 by Henry B. Plant (now a part of the University of Tampa and known as Plant Hall). The Hillsborough River flows through downtown and reflects the lights which appear to be dripping or bleeding color.
About Brad Monnerjahn
I'm a husband, father, and pharmacist who discovered later in life has a passion for photography. It started as my parental duty to capture those special moments of my children's lives growing up. I soon began to open my eyes to the beauty in the world around me. I am by nature a studious, mathematical sort and never considered myself artistically talented. And while I could always see a sunrise or sunset I never really SAW it: the color shift in the sky from blue to fiery orange, the long, soft shadows splayed across the pavement, the sun's rays bathing across a tree - breathing life into it, the poetry of dusk.
