An imaginary landscape with a flamingo flock in a red lake and white desert dunes in the background, under stormy clouds and blue sky.
Several lakes and ponds exist around the planet with red water caused by salt and algae species (e.g. Laguna Colorada south from Salar De Uyuni - Bolivia) and there are several deserts with white sand (like White Sands National Monument), but the two can nowhere be seen together, as on this picture.
This image is one of the 12 pieces of my series titled Skyscapes and horizons, inspired by the ever changing faces of the sky. All pieces are available as print.
