One day I was taking a walk and went farther than I normally do and came to a lovely home with a porch swing, potted plants...and this lovely stone statue. I was intrigued by the sadness in the face and the downward facing eyes. I've seen children looking like this and always hope the cause is something simple and superficial. Perhaps this lovely statue can call us all to care tenderly for children, especially when they are hurt deeply.
