This looks so much like my beloved Sher Khan. That's Hindu for "lame foot." We lived on a lake with a lot of shells, so he would limp from time to time. He'd also go fishing in the shallows, roll in them (of course after a few days of heat - ewwwww) and I'd have to clean him. Thank you for this wonderful portrait. ps - Sher Khan was HUGE. His mother was a full blooded German Shepherd and his father was a champion dobi who freed himself from his fenced in back yard. Sher Khan looked entirely Doberman - but huge! lol V/F
