My father owns the same truck its the same color and everything and it originally sat in grandfather's garage with a gravel driveway until we pulled it out and rescued it and this photo reminds me of that day cause the garage even looks the same too. I will eventually hang it on my wall im remodeling my living room and ima hang it on my wall when it's done to pay respect to my father who bought me my first home and someday he's leaving this truck to me to carry on its legacy.

This piece was created during a time in my life when I was tired of saying "I'm sorry." I realized that being a woman in and of itself, a lot of us feel the need to keep everyone we love comfortable. We don't wanna be a burden, in the way or make a fuss. Especially women like myself, who label ourselves "good girls." That apologetic way of living no longer serves me. I will not diminish myself because others are sensitive to light. As India Arie once beautifully said, I am light... I am light. For me, that is what being Unapologetic is all about. It is about knowing who you are and just letting you show and even grow more brighter. I'm not sorry for pushing for greatness.
