The holy Princess Olga of Kyiv was the grandmother of saint Prince Volodymyr of Kyiv. St. Olga was the first christian in Kyiv. Her example may have been a great influence on her grandson, Volodymyr, who became a Christian and in 988 had Baptized Kyivan Rus’.
