Description
Photo taken in front of the last remaining original mural at the Aztec Hotel (opened in 1925) in Monrovia, California. The artist was James Korn, a Los Angeles artist who worked in the movie industry at the time. Based on a sketch by architect Robert Stacy-Judd, the mural depicts the "Feast of Good Harvest." This was next to another mural (now lost) that depicted "The Kingdom of Darkness" featuring the "God and Goddess of Death." 😃 No wonder the Mayan Revival hotel is haunted.
