I’m really disappointed with @instagram and @facebook .
Recently I posted a photo named “The Right To Bear Arms”.
Yesterday I noticed that the title caption had been deleted without notification or my consent.
I’m assuming the caption got reported to @instagram as ‘abuse’ or ‘spam’, although it constituted neither of those.
Perhaps it was removed by a small-minded employee of @instagram . Perhaps @instagram uses bots to automatically remove captions once they receive a predefined quota of reports. Perhaps it’s just another @instagram bug.
Whatever the reason it was removed, it’s left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
I’m not sure if I’ll bother posting any photos or captions in the future.
I’ve decided to delete my personal Facebook account in protest. I know, tit for tat.
They will no longer receive any advertising revenue from me visiting Facebook.
I’m very thankful for the support of my loyal followers and friends here on @instagram
