This is the beach landing at Ten Pound Island in the middle of Gloucester harbor. Once the site of a fish hatchery and pontoon plane hanger and landing area, Ten Pound Island is abandoned to the gulls and a lighthouse marking the entrance to Gloucester Ma's inner harbor. A landmark for fishermen as they leave or return back to port.
Melissa Abbott is an artist and yoga teacher from Gloucester, MA. She studied painting at Monserrat College of Art.
