I have been following the research into the Shroud of Turin for the last 40 years. I was so happy that Ray Downing made a portrait based upon the Shroud. I was very struck by the beauty and sensitivity of the portrait. I have it hanging in my living room right where I can see it most often every day. I bought the portrait on wood and am very happy with it. Thank you, Mr. Downing, for bringing this to the attention of so many people.

About John Edwards
For as long as I can remember I have been fascinated by all forms of art. My love of drawing and painting began as a child when I first picked up a pencil and brush. Later on I discovered my father's Kodak Brownie Reflex and my love of photography and darkroom techniques began. After leaving school I studied Fine Art Photography at Art School but, to meet the needs of a growing family, followed a career in computer programming. This in turn led to my love for creating digital art in my spare time. First on an Amiga and then using Macs and PCs.
