Alex Haglund is photographer with a background in photojournalism and commercial photography. A Chicago-area native, he began taking photographs at 17 years old and upon graduating from high school, worked as an assistant at a commercial studio while attending college for photography. After attending school in Chicago for a time, he transferred to Southern Illinois University, and while continuing his studies in photography, began working for the school newspaper as a photojournalist.
