I got in trouble in church for drawing the pastor instead of listening to the sermon and doodling in school instead of taking notes. I don’t think anyone was surprised when I pursued a BFA at Grand Valley and graduated with a portfolio bursting at the seams with whimsical paintings. I quickly got a contract with Recycled Paper Greetings and have worked with them ever since.
