I myself did grow these flowers from seeds! I love this photo because it beautifully demonstrates three stages of a flowers bloom; budding, closed, and fully open bloom! I think that the three stages represented by this 'morning glory' are parallel to how I feel in the mornings; asleep, just woke up, and then fully awake! Also, this soft pink color is my second favorite color, and I love it against the green of the leaves.
