Description
The AT&T building dominates this print of the famous Nashville skyline and riverfront park. Colloquially known as the Batman Building due to its distinctive design and dark color, this 617 ft., 33-story skyscraper located between 3rd and 4th Avenue in downtown Nashville is the tallest building in Tennessee.
Riverfront Park, located at the lower end of Broadway and parallel with 1st street, is mostly concrete and giant terraces (or stairs) leading down to the Cumberland River. The Amphitheater is a popular venue for many events including the annual CMA Music Festival and the nationally acclaimed fireworks display at the annual Music City July 4th Celebration.
Stroll up Broadway to 2nd Ave. for the Wildhorse Saloon, Hard Rock Caf, B. B. Kings, and more. Continue up Broadway to visit The Stage, Roberts Western World, and Tootsies Orchid Lounge. Turn right (north) on 5th Ave. at Legends Corner and youre just a half block away from the Mother Church of Country Music, the Ryman Auditorium home to the Grand Ole Opry for 31 years.
I captured this shot from the Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge that connects downtown Nashville with Cumberland Park and LP Field, home of the Tennessee Titans Professional football team.
