Description
A digital painting of the old Elgin Diner in Camden NJ is combined with a Nick Virgilio poem about eating a Thanksgiving meal alone.
Virgilio, a poet who is buried near Walt Whitman, wrote about Camden NJ in haiku, a Japanese form of poetry that he adapted to an American landscape. His work can be found in the book, "Nick Virgilio: A Life in Haiku," which is available on Amazon and on my own press website, www.turtlelightpress.com Aside from writing about Camden, nature and Philly, Virgilio penned some incredible poems about the loss of his brother, Larry, in the Vietnam war.
