Description
The Bromo-Seltzer Tower Series, created by photographer Stephen Stookey, features Baltimore's iconic Bromo-Seltzer Arts Tower. Images in the series are crafted to be displayed individually or grouped to capture the varied moods of the Charm City.
The Bromo-Seltzer Arts Tower is an iconic feature of the Baltimore Skyline. Built in 1911 by Captain Isaac Emerson, creator of the tower's headache remedy namesake, the Bromo-Seltzer Tower stood as the Charm City's tallest building. The Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, Italy, provided the inspiration for the tower. Today, the 15-story Emerson Bromo-Seltzer Arts Tower offers state-of-the-art studio space to visual and literary artists.
This strong, classic black and white image celebrates Baltimore's industrial business heritage.
Original image captured with a Canon 5D Mark III & Canon 24-105 f/4L IS USM lens.
