The Eastern Tiger Swallowtail is a quick,and strong flier,beautifully gliding when able. It's wingspan is 3"-6" . The males are yellow, while the females can be black, or black and blue. It enjoys red, purple, or pink flowers, and is a wonderful visitor to the garden. This one flew right down in front of me, and rested, just long enough to capture.
Photography is an expression of ones deepest, and dearest loves, and fears. I have always loved photography. My work has evolved from when I first started in photography club back in junior high school. I remember going to a major city on a field trip, and I found myself capturing angles. Roof tops, bridges, tunnels, and lamp posts. Fast forward 20 + years, and I now find my self capturing many different things. Anything nature related will catch my eye. Animals, flowers, trees, grasses...textures...lighting...etc. I am working on getting out of my comfort zone though, and would love to start working on portraits. That's going to be a challenge, but one that I will gladly accept. I have found that this site inspires me to work...
